Stockholm and Watertown residents were in accidents that resulted in driving while intoxicated charges, one of them at the felony level.
Lorne A. McLean, 40, of Stockholm, was in an accident with his vehicle at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on State Rt. 11C near Skinnerville Road in Stockholm. State police who investigated charged him with felony DWI due to a DWI conviction within the last 10 years, failure to keep right, and imprudent speed. His status was eported as “held.”
Mary P. Humphrey, 58, 1212 Superior St.,Watertown was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right after an accident on U.S. 11 in Canton early today. Humphrey was driving northeast when she lost control of her vehicle, went off the left side of the road and ended up on some railroad tracks at about midnight, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said her blood alcohol was measured at .15 percent, nearly twice the threshold of .08 percent required for a DWI charge. She was issued tickets to appear in Canton Town Court.
