LISBON -- Two young children who were assaulted by their mother's fianceé Friday night in Lisbon required hospital treatment, according to state police.
A three-year-old from the Wood Road address suffered a broken arm and was sent to University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt. for treatment. The 4-year-old child suffered multiple bruises all over his body, and was evaluated and treated at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, state police report.
After responding to a domestic violence report, a BCI investigation on Saturday resulted in charges against Devyn T. Johnson, 21. He is facing two counts each of second-degree assault, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, troopers said.
Johnson was arraigned in Town of Lisbon Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bail bond. A stay-away order of protection was issued, troopers said.
