POTSDAM – The owner of First Crush Bistro, 32 Market St., is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever destroyed an air conditioner there.
Tom DeRosa says that, sometime early on Saturday, July 28, someone pulled down the central air conditioning unit, which was on a shelf 10 feet off the ground in the alley behind the restaurant.
He said the unit was destroyed and will have to be replaced.
“It is 89 degrees in the restaurant so it will remain closed until a new central air conditioner is installed,” DeRosa said.
The Potsdam Police Department is investigating, but DeRosa wants to spur the investigation along by offering $1,000 to whoever comes forward with enough information for an arrest.
