Nicholas Vielhauer led St. Lawrence to a 1-2-3 sweep in the 5,000-meter run with an All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference Championship qualifying time at the Cortland Classic at SUNY Cortland on Saturday afternoon.

Vielhauer improved his personal best time by nearly 25 seconds in the race, finishing in 15 minutes, 14.51 seconds to qualify for regionals. Evan Page was just over six seconds behind in second, while Logan Mancuso was third.

The Saints' 4x100 relay team of Gordon White, Ian Clough Travis Hamre and Elijah Wickland Shearer was also victorious, winning by nearly a second with a regional qualifying time to 42.66.

Dadley Ogetii also qualified for regionals, finishing second in the 3,000 steeplechase in 9:44.58 in his first attempt in the event. Gordon White finished second in both the long jump and the 200, improving his regional qualifying mark in the long jump with a leap of 6.84 meters on his last jump of the day, and finishing the 200 in a personal-best time of 22.54 seconds. Clough also had a PR in the 200, finishing third in 22.72 seconds; he also added a third-place finish in the 100, crossing the line in 10.91 in the final.

Cole Burbage is still competing in the decathllon, which will conclude on Sunday.
