POTSDAM -- Junior Alex Benway (Queensbury, NY) and freshman Dan Fritz (Cicero, NY) each performed well for the Clarkson University Men's Cross Country team this past weekend at the Plattsburgh Invitational and both earned Liberty League Weekly Honors on Monday.
Benway, who was named as the Liberty League Co-Performer of the Week, placed third at the Plattsburgh Invitational, finishing the 5K event with a time of 15:48.0, helping the Knights to a second-place overall finish. Fritz, running in his first collegiate event, gained Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Week honors.
The freshman finished the race in 10th place overall, crossing the line in 16:31.0.
