Though it was a short week due to the holiday, the Clarkson University Men's and Women's Basketball teams were well represented on the Liberty League Performers of the Week honor roll on Monday.
Two members of the Golden Knights' women's team were noted by the conference on Monday as juniors Carey Turner (Clifton Park, NY) and Chrissy Scanlon (Queensbury, NY) were each selected. Turner played just 19 minutes in a 65-45 win over SUNY Canton last Tuesday, but the third-year guard/forward scored 15 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field and a 5-for-5 performance from the free throw line. Classmate Chrissy Scanlon played 29 minutes in the 20-point victory, shooting 6-for-11 from the floor, adding six rebounds and a pair of steals.
Senior Jonathan Hood (Cortlandt Manor, NY) came within a point of matching his career-high in a five-point defeat at Plattsburgh State on Tuesday. Hood produced a team-best 20 points, shooting 7-for-13 from the floor. Hood also added eight rebounds, three steals, two assists and a block.
