Courtney Tennant's career-high 29 points led RIT to a 73-65 victory over St. Lawrence University in Friday's Liberty League action in Rochester, NY. RIT improves to 11-13 overall and 7-8 in the league. Meanwhile, the Saints fall to 11-4 in the league and are no longer in control over the top seed in the conference. Though the Saints have clinched a tournament bid, the seeding will be determined by the results of tomorrow's final games.

RIT closed out the first half with a 10-2 run, taking a 34-26 lead into halftime. A Tiger three-pointer to open the second half extended RIT's lead to 37-26, before the Saints went on a 7-0 run to cut the lead to four points on a three pointer by junior captain Cassie St. Hilaire.

On St. Lawrence's next possession, sophomore Kara McDuffee made a layup, cutting the Tiger lead to 37-35. However, RIT answered with a 5-0 run, taking a 42-35 lead on a layup by Tennant with 15:07 to play in the second half.

A layup by St. Hilaire with 13:04 to play brought the Saints to within two points once again, but that was the closest would be the remainder of the game.

RIT shot 44.4 percent from the floor on 28-of-63 shooting. The Tigers went 5-of-11 from three point land and were 12-of-21 from the foul line. RIT held a slight 43-42 rebounding edge, scoring 40 of their 73 points inside the paint.

St. Lawrence shot 35.8 percent from the floor on 24-of-67 shooting. The Saints went 5-of-20 from behind the arc and were 12-of-17 from the foul line.

The Saints were led by McDuffee's 17 points and nine rebounds, while St. Hilaire and junior captain Hannah WIlson each scored 13 points. Sophomore Ally Cady added 12 points.

St. Lawrence will battle William Smith in its regular season finale tomorrow afternoon.
