Canton, NY – Allison Wakefield made 12 saves but Kierra Caissey scored twice and Abby Reilly added a goal and two assists as visiting Utica College earned a 4-0 win v. the SUNY Canton women's soccer team in non-conference action on Saturday.

The Roos (2-2-0) came out strong but after the opening 20 minutes Utica (1-2-1) controlled much of the play and the Pioneers broke through in the 31st minute. Reilly picked up the ball off a defensive miscue and played a through ball to Caissey who finished into the right corner of the net.

Utica doubled the lead in the 48th minute when Gabrielle Esposito found Mikayla Blumenstock in the midfield and she hit Reilly with a perfect through ball and she finished past a charging Allison Wakefield.

Shaelin Siniscarco scored in the 66th minute and Caissey added her second tally of the game in the 69th minute leading to the 4-0 final.

Wakefield made 12 saves in the loss, while Allison Wagner made three saves in the first half to earn the win for Utica.

The women's soccer team returns to action on Wednesday when it visits SUNY Potsdam at 7 p.m.
