Canton, NY – Matthew Russell fired a Sunday round of 5-over par, 77, to finish the two-round 36-hole St. Lawrence Invitational in a tie for 10th place out of 53 golfers with a 154 (77-77).
Josh Marshall improved by four strokes on the second day to finish in a tie for 30th with a 166 (85-81). Azzat Almasri shot a Sunday score of 92 (87-95-182), Devin Page recorded a 92 (92-92-184) and Nick Messerschmidt carded a 95 (91-95-186).
The Roos finished in eighth place out of the 10 teams with a 685 (340-345). New York University won the team title with a 599 (293-306) ahead of second place Hamilton College's 606 (305-301). Hamilton's Milan Matneja (72-74-146) edge NYU's Joey Brlison (74-73-147) for medalist honors.
Tia Tassava improved by two strokes on Sunday to finish in a tie for 25th place with a 172 (87-85). Cecelia Neally carded a round of 91 to finish with a two-day total of 179 (88-91). Alyssa Allen (109-117-226) and Ashley Gillies (119-119-238) rounded out the Roo women.
The women finished in 10th place out of 11 teams with 815 strokes (403-412-815). NYU won the team title with a 592 ahead of Middlebury (625). NYU's Jennifer Bluetling earned medalist honors with a 146 (71-75).
