Bangor, ME – Antanasia Chambers and Autumn Watkins combined for 35 of the Roos points but Husson University earned a late, 49-47 win in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Husson jumped out to a 14-10 lead after the first quarter but Canton battled back to get within 21-20 at intermission. Chambers and Watkins totaled 17 of the Roos first half points.
The Eagles extended their lead to 36-33 heading to the fourth quarter.
Canton led by three on multiple occasions in the final quarter but Husson used an 8-0 run to turn a two point lead for Canton into a six point deficit with 3:20 to play.
Chambers recorded back-to-back baskets to get the Roos within 49-47 with 35 seconds remaining.
SUNY Canton had the ball with seven seconds remaining and Chambers drove to the basket but Megan Peach was credited with a block to seal the win.
Kenzie Worcester paced the Eagles with 17 points, while Emma Alley added 11.
The Roos scored 15 points off 18 Husson turnovers and held the upper hand in points in the paint, 26-14.
