(Lorain, Ohio)- SUNY Canton lost both games of a doubleheader at Notre Dame College on Saturday falling 4-2 and 8-1.
In the opening game Jordan Hunneyman (Redwood, N.Y.) and Thomas Fearon (Ajax, Ontario) each doubled to lead the Roos (0-13). Josh Soffer (Ottawa, Ontario) struck out five batters and allowed six hits and one walk in six innings as he took the loss on the mound.
In the second game, Larry Jankowski (Oneonta, N.Y.) laced a pair of singles in a 2-for-3 day and Michael Zelyez (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) added a double. Will McIntyre (Ottawa, Ontario), Casey Floyd (Ottawa, Ontario) and Fearon combined to record three strikeouts.
Jesse Carriere went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Tyler Percrapio had eight strikeouts in game one for Notre Dame and Eric Cunningham ripped a two-run triple in the nightcap.
