Bradenton, FL – Robyn Carroll (Bowmanville, ON) scored five goals and dished out four assists to lead the SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team to a 15-9 victory against Baldwin Wallace College on Thursday.
Katelynn Nutter (Carthage, NY) posted two goals and two assists, while Hannah Christiansen (Lake View, NY) and Devyn Hutcheson (Oswego, NY) netted two goals apiece. Tsieboo Herne (Hogansburg, NY), Amanda Woods (Williamsville, NY), Lora Ardoin (Houston, TX) and Theresa DiMartin (Oneonta, NY) also scored for the Roos (1-1).
Baldwin Wallace (1-2) led 6-3 at intermission behind a pair of goals from Caitlin Wheeler.
The Roos responded scoring the first five goals out of intermission to take an 8-6 advantage. The Yellowjackets netted a pair of goals 46 seconds apart to knot the game at eight apiece. SUNY Canton hung tough as four different players scored the next four goals, including three in an 18 second span to open up a 12-8 advantage they would not relinquish.
Becca Kieffer (Lee Center, NY) turned aside nine shots between the pipes for the Roos, while Taylor Giordanengo made 10 stops for Baldwin Wallace.
