St. Lawrence University senior wing Nick Pitsikoulis was named MLX Skates ECAC Hockey Player of the Week and freshman wing Greg Carey earned his second nod at MLX Skates ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week after the duo combined for four goals and an assist in a 6-4 win over the University of Vermont last weekend.

Pitsikoulis matched his career high with two goals and an assist in the game. He also had two goals and an assist in a January 2010 win over Niagara. He matched his career high for goals in a season with four and has five points in 13 games thus far this season.

Carey scored two goals for the second time in his last three starts and earned Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season. He scored his second career game winner in the Vermont game and is second among ECAC rookies in goal-scoring and is tied for third overall in total goals scored through the first 15 games of the season.

Pitsikoulis is the third Saint player to earn Player of the Week honors while Carey and goaltender Matt Weninger have earned Rookie of the Week honors. Weninger also twice earned the Goaltender of the Week award.
