St. Lawrence University senior Marisa Turner advanced to the final in the 400 meters and finished 12th in the high jump in Friday competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Wartburg College in Iowa on Friday.
She improved her own SLU record in the 400, running 55.54 and was the seventh fastest qualifier. By making the final she is guaranteed an All America finish, her second straight in the event.
Turner cleared 1.66 meters in the high jump, one of six athletes to make that height, but placed 12th on attempts.
She will run in the 400 meter final at 2:20 central time on Saturday.
