The St. Lawrence University women's rowing varsity eight won against the University of Rochester and the second varsity eight was second in a four-team regatta hosted by Hamilton College on the Erie Canal in Rome, N.Y. on Saturday afternoon.
The varsity eight boat opened the day with a 12-second margin of victory over a boat from Rochester and the second varsity eight followed with a second-place finish, falling to No. 4 Hamilton and beating a boat from Union by more than 35 seconds.
This was the final race of the spring before the Liberty League and New York State Championship Weekend in May.
