St. Lawrence University's men's cross country continued its stay in the top ten nationally in the USTFCCCA Division III rankings and are ninth heading into next weekend's New York State Collegiate Track Conference cross country championships to be hosted by St. John Fisher Oct. 25.

The Saints, who have been ranked as high as fourth nationally, are ninth for the second straight week as SUNY Geneseo slipped by them to the top of the Atlantic Region rankings after a strong showing in early October. Geneseo is seventh nationally.

The Saints have featured strong team performances in each of their races thus far this season, with the top five running in a bunched group. SLU has had three different runners lead the pack in four races thus far this season.

The Saints have won four of the last five NYSCTC titles and have had four of the last five individual champions. They are the defending champions and should get a challenge from the University of Rochester in this year's meet. The Yellowjackets won the 2012 title and are ranked second in the NYSCTC.
