After falling in two games on Thursday, the St. Lawrence University softball team split its last two games of the spring trip on Friday on its final day at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic. The Saints defeated Hamilton College 1-0 before falling to Wisconsin-Oshkosh 4-2.
The Saints conclude their spring trip with an even 6-6 record.
Senior Melissa Rogers went 2-for-3 against Hamilton, scoring the game winner for the Saints in the second inning. First-year student Leslie Stratton also went 2-for-3 including two doubles.
Sophomore Liz McGinley earned the victory, scattering three hits and striking out four while walking only one.
In the second game, first-year student Khalshia White went 2-for-3 with a double. Senior Rachel Duffany and McGinley scored runs for the Saints.
