Junior forward Morgan Smith was named the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Week after putting together a four-point week in the Lotto Classic tournament, the League announced Monday.
An integral part of the Saints offense in both wins, Smith tallied a goal and an assist against SUNY Cortland on Friday, and set up the game-winning goal in Saturday's game against Moravian. He earned All-Tournament team honors for his efforts on the weekend, as the Saints went on to win the 2014 Lotto Classic.
The Saratoga Springs, NY native who transferred to St. Lawrence from Division I Syracuse a season ago is the team's second-highest returning scorer. He scored five goals and assisted on seven others in 2013.
