Saints men's track and field compete at St. John Fisher Invitational

Nick Crawford was second in the 400 hurdles, Harrison Stivers was third in the 100, Sidi Abdoulaye third in the 1500 and Scott Kasson had a pair of top ten finishes in the throws as St. Lawrence University's men's outdoor track and field team competed in the non-scoring St. John Fisher Invitational on Saturday.

Crawford ran 54.20 for his second place finish in the 400 hurdles and was joined in the event by Dan Viscardi, who was sixth in 58.37 with JooWon Ma seventh in 58.38. Abdoulaye ran 4:03.08 to finish third in the 1500 with Adam Bankert finishing 22nd, William Bronner 27th, Hogan Dwyer 30th and Ronald Kipkoech 34th. Stivers ran 11.11 for his third place finish and was just .001 out of second in a photo finish in the 100.

Kasson finished sixth in the shot put at 13.70, seventh in the discus at 39.69 and was 13th in the hammer at 42.61.

Other top ten performances on the track included a fourth in 15.91 by Nathaniel Stowe in the 110 hurdles with Mark Jannini seventh, a seventh by Travis Hamre in the 200 in 22.43 with Harrison Stivers 12th. David Bain finished seventh in the steeplechase in 11:09.40 and was 15th in the javelin.

The Saint 4x800 relay team of Evan Garvey, Adam Bankert, Abdoulaye and Tim O'Brien finished fourth in 8:12.73 while a "B" relay of Kipoech, Hogan Dwyer, John Gillooly and Bronner was seventh in the same race. Garvey was 12th in the 400 in 51.82 with O'Brien 26th.

Sam Emerson was 14th in the high jump, Tyler Bouchard finished 11th in the triple jump and Dylan Babcock was 27th in the hammer and 26th in the discus.
