After 110 minutes of play, the St. Lawrence University men's soccer team battled Plattsburgh to a 0-0 draw in the Mayor's Cup game of the SUNY Oneonta Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Oneonta, New York.

Tapshak Augustine led the Saints with three shots on goal, while Brendan McNamee added two and Jethro Dede, Aidan Callahan and Charlton Kelly each added one.

"We had another hard fought game today, said head coach Mike Toshack. "The team showed great resilience and competitiveness to get a result against another great team. Unfortunately we weren't able to score on an early chance in the game but the players kept at it for the full 90 minutes and the overtime."

St. Lawrence's best opportunity of the game came just 5:56 into play as Kelly rang a shot off the post of Plattsburgh's goal.

Augustine also recorded two shots in the first period, just about four minutes apart, which were handled by Plattsburgh's goalkeeper Ryan Wilson.

At the half, the Saints held a 7-4 shot advantage, but Plattsburgh fought back and had closed the gap to an 11-10 shot advantage after regulation. Both team's finished with 14 shots including eight shots on goal.

Alex Price led the Cardinals with three shots on goal.

Saints' goalkeeper Ben Kelty played all 110 minutes in goal and recorded seven saves, while Wilson made eight saves for the Cardinals.

With the tie, the Saints remain undefeated at 3-0-1, while the Cardinals sit at 1-3-1 on the season.

The Scarlet and Brown will return to Sandy MacAllister Field to face off against SUNY Cortland on Saturday, September 15 at 2 p.m.
