Lisa Grohn finished fourth and Megan Kellogg was 10th to lead the 20th-ranked St. Lawrence University women's cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the Yellowjacket Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester on Saturday afternoon.

Grohn was the second NCAA Division III athlete to cross the line, as Ithaca's Taryn Cordani won the six-kilometer race in 21:16. Two Cornell runners followed before Grohn crossed the line in 21:35.6. Kellogg finished in 22:12.8 and was the third D-III athlete to cross the line; Cornell dominated the race, with five runners finishing between Grohn and Kellogg.

Leah Livernois (35th, 23:33.4), Marla Davidson (43rd, 23:47.7) and Ashely Leta (55th, 24:04.4) also finished in scoring positions for the Saints. Sarah Moon (58th, 24:07.1), Nancy Lucier (62nd, 24:12.8) and Caroline Driscoll (65th, 24:16.2) all finished within 12 seconds of No. 5 spot for the Saints.

Cornell scored 23 points to win the 27-team competition, while Ithaca was second with 103 points. Oberlin edged out St. Lawrence for third with 116 points, just two ahead of the Saints.

St. Lawrence returns home to host the 25th Annual Ronald C. Hoffmann Invitational next Saturday.
