Saints Grohn All America with 6th in women's NCAA 10K

St. Lawrence University junior Lisa Grohn finished sixth in the NCAA Division III 10,000 meter championship on Thursday and earned All America honors for the second time this year.

Grohn, fourth in the NCAA 5,000 indoors, earned her third All America finish in cross country and track. She finished in 36:40.77 in a race won by Amy Regan of Stevens Institute in 35:46.27. Grohn was a 2014 All America in cross country in addition to her indoor finish.

She will run in the 5000 meters on Saturday.

In other track and field news on Thursday, Saint senior Marisa Turner and sophomore Megan Kellogg were named to the District III CoSIDA Academic All America team and will be on the national cross country and track and field Academic All America ballot.

Both Turner, All America in both the high jump and 400 meters indoors, and Kellogg, All America in the 3000 meters indoors, will compete in the outdoor championships with Turner in the high jump and the 400 meter preliminaries on Friday and Kellogg will join Grohn in the 5000 meters on Saturday.
