Seniors Chyron Brown-Wallace and Alec Dietsch have been selected as team captains for the 2016 St. Lawrence University Football team.
Both Dietsch and Brown-Wallace were First-Team All-Liberty League selections on defense as the duo combined for 128 tackles, 33 for loss and 15 quarterback sacks leading the Saints to an 8-3 record, a Liberty League Championship and a trip to the NCAA Playoffs.
"Chyron (Brown-Wallace) and Alec (Dietsch) have had an impact on our campus and football team since the moment they stepped on campus in 2013," said Head Coach Dan Puckhaber. "They are not only great players, but also great men and leaders that command the respect of their teammates and opponents. I am looking forward to seeing how the 2016 Saints Football Team exemplifies the leadership of these two outstanding individuals."
The Saints open the 2016 season with the first-ever night game at home, a 7 pm game against SUNY Morrisville on Friday, September 2.
