St. Lawrence University's women's cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field programs matched their highest-ever finish in the Deb Vercauteren Division III Women's Program of the Year rankings, finishing in fifth place in the 2013-14 final standings.
The rankings are based on finishes in the NCAA Division III cross country, indoor and outdoor track championships. A total of 16 teams qualified for the rankings which require teams to score in all three championships.
Wartburg College was the 2013-14 champion with an 11th place finish in cross country, third in indoor track and field and first in outdoor track and field for a total of 15 points. Williams College was second with a second place finish in cross country, fifth in indoor and a tie for eighth in outdoor for 16.5 points while Wisconsin-LaCrosse was third with 25 points, MIT fourth with 25.5 and the Saints fifth with 31 points after a 10th place finish in cross country, a tie for 11th in indoor track and a tie for eighth in outdoor track.
Tufts, 10th with 72.5 points and Ithaca, 15th with 145 were the other two teams from the Northeast in the standings.
The Saints were 10th in the 2010-11 standings, fifth in 2009-10 and 10th in 2008-09.
