(Randolph Center, Vt.)- The SUNY Canton women’s soccer team shut out Vermont Technical College for the second time this season as they posted a 5-0 win over the Green Knights on Saturday in Vermont.
The Roos also recorded a 6-0 win on their home turf earlier this season. Jackie Sedlacek (Endicott, N.Y.) and Bailey Allen (Dekalb Junction, N.Y.) combined for all of the Roos’ goals on Saturday. Sedlacek scored three times for the hat trick and Allen had two goals to lead the Roos offense.
SUNY Canton will host Clarkson University this Wednesday, Oct. 19 as the Roos and Golden Knights will “Kick for a Cure”. Both teams are joining the Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure program to help in the ongoing battle against breast cancer. The two schools will wear pink attire and fans are asked to wear pink as well. Donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation of Central New York to help with life-saving research, education, screenings and treatment programs in the fight to end breast cancer forever.
