(Canton, N.Y.)- Freshman Emiley Walters (Lancaster, N.Y.) connected for a three-run home run and senior Danielle Callahan (Kingston, N.Y.) collected four RBIs leading the SUNY Canton softball team to a 15-0 win over Fisher College.  The Roos also won game two 10-0.

The Roos (4-0 Sunrise Conference, 5-11 overall) put on another dazzling offensive display as they had 14 hits in the opener and 10 more in the nightcap to earn the regular season sweep of the Falcons.

The Roos stretched a 4-0 lead after one inning to an 11-0 margin with a seven-run second inning in the first game.  After the Roos had already scored four times, Walters came up with runners on first and second and blasted a shot over the fence in left field.  SUNY Canton went on to score two runs in the third and two more in the fourth to close out the game.

In the nightcap, the Roos led by a slim 2-0 margin through two innings, and then exploded for four runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth inning to earn their fourth straight five-inning win.

Callahan went 2-for-3 in both games and had two more RBIs in game two.   Walters finished the day with five RBIs.  Lyndsay Coppola (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) had three doubles and five hits and Jenifer Shaw (Helendale, Calif.) and Heather Lottie (Canton, N.Y.) each had three RBIs apiece.

Tina Deluca (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) dominated the Falcons on the mound as the sophomore held the Falcons to five hits in the opener and just two in the second game and all but one hit were singles.  Deluca had five strikeouts on the day and did not walk a batter in nine innings of work.

Jessica Measheaw (Hammond, N.Y.) pitched the final inning of game two and had one strikeout and one walk.

Jessica Augusta went 2-for-2 for the Falcons in game one and Courtney Gollotto and Kristina Terry each had single in the second game.
