(Canton, N.Y.) The SUNY Canton women’s cross country team ran at the Hoffman / Pre-Regional Invitational at St. Lawrence University on Saturday and finished 16th out of 17 teams.
St. Lawrence is hosting the NCAA Atlantic Regionals on Nov. 12 and Saturday’s race drew some of the top cross country teams and runners in NCAA Division III on beautiful and sunny day in Canton. The field included four teams ranked in the top 30 in the country.
Megan Mydosh (Warwick, N.Y.) led the Roos with a 107th-place finish out of 217 total runners. Mydosh ran the 6K race in a time of 25:41.
Heather Ameele (Williamson, N.Y.) came in 175th place in a time of 28:18 and Emily Clark (Brushton, N.Y.) followed with a time of 37:39.
SUNY Canton will race at the CCOC Championships Saturday, Oct. 15 at Hobart & William Smith in their final regular season meet before preparing for the USCAA national meet in Lake Placid in November.
Geneseo, ranked in the top 10 in the country, won the women’s race and Cortland State’s Alyson Dalton won the individual women’s title.
