Clinton, NY - Only four days ago, junior Sara Artus (St. Regis Falls, NY) became the sixth member of the Clarkson University Volleyball program's 1,000-kill club, but it didn't take long for a seventh to join the exclusive four-digit association as classmate Megan Mahon (Irvine, CA) reached the milestone midway through the Golden Knights' three-set sweep of Hamilton College Saturday morning. Clarkson then swept Keuka in three straight to claim the Hamilton Invitational title.

The Golden Knights went a perfect 4-0 at the Hamilton Invitational, beating Hamilton 25-18, 25-20, 25-22, and then Keuka College 25-17, 25-20, 25-19, pushing the Green and Gold to 22-6 overall.

Mahon entered the weekend needing only 19 more kills to reach 1,000, and after recording 13 on Friday night, it was inevitable that she would make her own history at some point on Saturday. Mahon finished with 11 kills in 26 swings in the straight set victory.

Saturday morning's match against Hamilton was Clarkson's third straight three-set sweep as freshman Lani Durio (Austin, TX) posted 35 assists and four aces. Artus also totaled four aces in the match to go along with 13 kills.

Versus Keuka, the Knights again won in three straight. Mahon led the team with 15 kills and Artus added 13 kills and 6 aces. Erika Chin (Katy, TX) hit for seven kills in 12 swings, and Durio had 38 assists.
