St. Lawrence opened up a double-digit lead in the second quarter and held a 32-22 advantage at the halftime intermission. In the second half Ithaca (3-3) battled back and tied the score and the teams exchanged leads for the majority of the fourth quarter.

The senior point guard later set up Scudder for a 3-pointer from the corner that gave the Saints a 55-53 lead with eight seconds remaining.

Ithaca converted a layup with 1.5 seconds on the clock to tie the game and force overtime.

In overtime, Scudder hit the early 3-pointer and Quattrocchi scored as well but the key points game from the free throw line where Sarah Thomas connected of four straight in the closing seconds to seal the victory.

"Sarah is starting to show the talent that I know she has," said Roiger. "Her four free throws today in the final minute were stressful and she cashed all four."

Scudder led the Saints with her 21 points followed by Quattrocchi and her 14 points while Caroline Dalton added 11 points and eight rebounds. Cara Waterson was limited to five points but grabbed a team-leading nine rebounds including three offensive rebounds.
