Englewood, FL – Ten different players recorded at least one goal and all three goalkeepers spent about 20 minutes of time in net as the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team enjoyed a comfortable win over Farmingdale State on Monday morning, downing the Rams 18-2 in non-league play.

The Golden Knights improved to 4-2 on the season, while Farmingdale State dropped to 0-4. Clarkson has now won 10 straight games out of state dating back to 2014, including eight straight games in Florida.

Clarkson was dominant on both sides of the ball, keeping the Rams from even attempting a shot in the second half. The Golden Knights owned a 33-6 advantage in shots, a 17-10 lead in groundballs, and watched the Rams commit 17 turnovers.

It didn't appear as if the Knights would rout the Rams despite scoring the first four goals of the game in just over six minutes. Farmingdale State tallied twice only 19 seconds apart after falling behind by four, but would not score again for the remainder of the game. Clarkson ended the first half on an 8-0 run, with the first six of those eight goals coming from different players.

Clarkson's offensive effort was put in reserve in the second half, as the Knights were content to slow things down, taking only 10 shots in the final 30 minutes.

Both Marisa Clark and Jaid Baytos scored four points two goals and two assists apiece, with Baytos collecting five draw controls. Katie Sergeant also chipped in three points with two goals and an assist while Taylor Collins, Abby Collins, Emma Andrews, Aubrey Borgesi, and Natalie Farnett each scored two goals. Lexi Smith also had a goal and an assist and Madden Rowlee scored a goal. Abby Gruneisen led the team with three groundballs.

Samantha Gladd gained the win, serving in the Clarkson crease for the first 19:20 of the game. Emily Fischer played the next 19:16 and Carolynn Pechmann closed out the final 21:24. The three players combined for two saves.

For the Rams, both Haley Perez and Alexandra Sparrow each scored a goal and Jessica Meyers made 11 saves for Farmingdale.
