Harris leads Saint golfers at Hamilton Fall Invitational

Junior John Harris had his second top-ten finish of the fall season to lead St. Lawrence University's men's golf team to a ninth place finish in the 16-team, 91-player Hamilton Invitational on Sunday.

Harris shot 77 on the par-71, 6,985 yard Yahnundasis Club layout in New Hartford in Saturday's opening round and came back with a three-over 75 on the 6,765 yard par-72 Skenandoa Club course in Clinton on Sunday for a 152 total to lead the Saints.

Junior Walker Steers was the second Saint finisher, tied for 17th with rounds of 77-76 and a 153 total while freshman Jack Reardon shot 79-82 161 and was tied for 50th. Junior Jeff Duggan completed Saturday's best-of-four scoring with a 79 and had an 85 on Sunday for a 164 total to finish tied for 58th, while senior Ren O'Connor's 83 was the fourth Saint score on Sunday and he finished tied for 54th with 80-83-163. Freshman Brandon Lustig played as an individual and tied for 76th with rounds of 83 and 87 for a 170 total.

The Saints shot a best-of-four team score of 312 on Saturday and 316 on Sunday for a 218 total. Manhattanville won the tournament with 305-300-605 whith Williams second at 609, Middlebury and Delhi tied for third at 611 and Occidental fifth with a 613 total.

The tournament concluded the fall portion of the schedule for the Saints.
