The men's tennis team hosted the annual SLU Fall Classic this past weekend.  Sophomore Philip Jackley earned "Co-Performer of the Week"  as he reached the "A" Singles finals and "A" Doubles semifinals.  He defeated opponents from Rochester, Hamilton and Ithaca to make it into the final singles round.   He split sets with Josh Rifkin of Ithaca 1-6, 6-2, (3-3) before being forced to retire due to injury in the super tie-breaker. Teaming with Tony Wilkey in doubles, he reached the semifinals after beating Clayton Tontarski and Neville Bilimoria of RIT 8-2 before falling to Hamilton.

On the soccer field, the women's soccer team took on RIT and Elmira on the road.  Junior goalkeeper Abby van Geldern earned "Defensive Performer of the Week" as she posted her sixth shutout in seven games this season as the Saints swept both teams by 1-0 scores. She had three saves against RIT, handing the Tigers their first loss this season, and two in the win at Elmira.

On the men's side, sophomore Sam Demello earned "Co-Offensive Performer of the Week" as he scored the game-winning goal, his second of the year, in a 2-0 win over previously unbeaten RIT on Friday.  He then picked up his third game winner on Saturday as the Saints beat Elmira 5-1.

The Bloomfield, NY native ran in 22:29 and was the first rookie at the event to cross the finish line.

Lastly, the volleyball team traveled to Plattsburgh to take part in the Cardinal Classic.   Senior Abby Rose earned "Co-Performer of the Week" as she helped the Saints capture their second Cardinal Classic title in two years. She accumulated 21 kills (.382), 106 assists (8.8/set), 37 digs (3.1/set), and four aces in 12 games. She earned Cardinal Classic MVP honors for the second year in a row.
