Geneva, NY – Shawn Deibel (Albion, NY) and Antonio Kadlyak (Johnson City, NY) both finished in the top 70 racers individually as the men's cross country team competed at the Cross Country Only Championships hosted by Hobart & William Smith College on Saturday.
Deibel covered the 8-kilometer course in a time of 30:03 to finish in 61st place individually, while Kadylak turned in a 69th place performance (30:30). Matthew Lindke (Webster, NY) was the next Roo across the line in a time of 33:42 (114th).
Three SUNY Canton runners packed closely together as Bryant Cotey (Norwood, NY), Josh May (Glenville, NY) and Matt Fortin (Liberty, NY) crossed the finish line in 121st, 122nd and 124th places, respectively. Cortland Mowery (Elizabethtown, NY) rounded out the competing Roos in a time of 38:31 (135th).
SUNY Canton finished with 328 team points to place 11th out of the 14 team field. The Roos edged Keuka College (351), Cazenovia College (352) and Wells College (360).
The cross country teams are back in action on October 29th at the Boo-Ha North Country Invitational hosted by St. Lawrence University. The men will race at 4:30 p.m.
