After a tough middle of the season, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team continues to round into form as the season comes to a close. The Golden Knights are now unbeaten in three straight games after drawing Skidmore 0-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Clarkson is now 5-9-2 on the season and 0-5-2 in the Liberty League while Skidmore is 5-6-2 overall and 1-4-2 in conference.

Coming off a win in which they scored four goals, the Golden Knights struggled to open the scoring against the Thoroughbreds. However, the defense stepped up and kept Skidmore off the board as well.

After each team took six shots in regulation, the two overtimes were each dominated by a different team. Skidmore came out strong in the first extra session, launching six shots. However, Elyse Green made five saves to keep the game tied. In the final ten minutes, Clarkson went on the offensive, taking the only two shots of the period. The best chance came in the final minute of play when Summer Gillespie tried her luck with a shot, but Alyssa Rollins made the stop for Skidmore.

Skidmore finished with a 12-8 lead in shots. The Thoroughbreds took five corner kicks while Clarkson took two. Green made eight saves in 110 minutes of action. Deirdre Walsh started the game in goal and made two stops in 45 minutes, while Rollins had two saves in the final 65 minutes of play.

Clarkson will close out the season with a home game against St. Lawrence on October 28th.
