Canton, NY – Randi Conway posted game-highs of 20 points and 11 rebounds as the SUNY Canton women's basketball team outscored host Morrisville State by 16 points in the second half to earn a 67-59 victory on Wednesday evening.
The Roos (3-3), who trailed 32-24 at intermission, outscored the Mustangs (3-5) 17-7 in the third quarter to turn an eight-point deficit into a two point lead heading to the fourth quarter.
Tori Rockefeller regained the lead for Morrisville early in the fourth quarter following a three-pointer. Conway responded with her third three-pointer of the contest giving the Roos the lead for good with 8:23 to play.
Conway and Antanasia Chambers led the Roos with 20 and 13 points, respectively, as the duo combined for 28 of their 33 points after intermission. Billie Rivenburgh had an impressive outing posting season-highs of nine points and eight rebounds. Taylor Saltus chipped in nine points and a game-high six assists.
Rockefeller paced the Mustangs with 14 points, while Alexis Campbell and Abby Halsey tallied nine points apiece.
The women's basketball team is back in action on Saturday when it visits Misericordia at 3 p.m.
