Sophomore forward Katie Clemmer headed the ball past Hawks' goalkeeper Cassandra Robataille off a free kick from Madelyn Sumple with just over two minutes remaining in the second overtime to give the St. Lawrence University women's soccer team the lead and record a 2-1 non-conference win over Hartwick College on Friday afternoon in Oneonta, New York.

After the foul, Clemmer headed the ball into the upper left corner of the Hartwick goal to give the Saints the one goal edge after nearly 108 minutes of play.

With the win, the Saints remain undefeated at 4-0 on the season, while the Hawks fell to 4-1-1.

Sylvie Holding had hopes of putting the Saints on the board early on, but her close-range shot in the eighth minute of play was scooped up by Robataille.

Shortly after, Kira Murphy sent shots high and wide and Emily Wade sent a shot just above the crossbar in the 19th minute of play, but both teams remained scoreless through the first half.

At the break, the Saints held a 7-1 shot advantage, including a 3-0 shots on goal edge.

The Saints took a 1-0 lead on an own goal in the 49th minute of play after a shot was deflected in by a Hartwick defender off the corner kick.

The Hawks bounced back to tie the game as Dana Caputo crossed the ball to Gabrielle Kreppein, who skipped the ball underneath the crossbar in the 68th minute.

Clemmer looked to give the Saints the win in the 85th minute, but Robataille came up big with another save to keep the score tied, but Clemmer rallied to score the game winner.

"It was a hard fought game between both teams," said head coach Sinead McSharry. "We had some chances earlier in the game that didn't go our way but the team persevered, and for that I am so proud of them. What a goal to end a fantastic game!"

Robataille finished with six saves for Hartwick, while Saints' goalkeeper Samantha Allen recorded two saves for the Scarlet and Brown.

At the end of overtime, the Saints held a 13-6 shot advantage, including 7-3 in shots on goal.

St. Lawrence will travel to Oswego, New York to take on the Lakers on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
