Clarkson's Pluchino and Llanos gain Liberty League weekly honors

Senior Lauren Pluchino (Liverpool, NY) and junior Felix Llanos (Queens, NY) of the Clarkson University Basketball teams each were rewarded for their fine performances over the past seven days as the duo was chosen as Liberty League Performers of the Week on Monday.

Pluchino, who was picked as a conference all-performer for the first time this season, averaged 16.5 points per game over the course of two games, shooting 12-for-24 from the floor overall and 7-for-14 from beyond the 3-point arc. She also averaged 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game in the seven-day span.

An all-around performer, Pluchino's name is everywhere on the Liberty League leaderboards. She ranks eighth in the conference in scoring (13.9 ppg), 16th in rebounding (5.6 rpg), fifth in field goal percentage (48.9%), fourth in free throw percentage (80.8%), 15th in steals (1.6 spg), sixth in blocked shots (1.2 bpg), sixth in 3-point field goals made (18), while leading the entire conference in 3-point field goal percentage (51.4%).

Llanos, who was chosen as a Libelrty League Performer of the Week for the second time this year, tossed in 17.5 points per game in a 2-0 week, including a career-best 21 points against the College of St. Joseph on Saturday. He also shot 50 percent from the floor for the week (12-for-24), making nine 3-pointers.

Through 11 non-conference games, Llanos ranks seventh in the Liberty League in scoring at 14.6 points per contest. Llanos also ranks fifth in the conference in free throw percentage (84.2%), 15th in steals (1.4 spg), fifth in assists (3.1 apg), fourth in 3-pointers made (29), sixth in 3-point field goal percentage (40.3%), and fifth in assists/turnover ration (1.21).
