Potsdam, NY - With a team score of 308, Clarkson University's Golf team ranks third among the seven teams as the Golden Knights host the Liberty League Championships at the par-72 Potsdam Town & Country Club this weekend.

Through the opening round, Skidmore leads all teams with a score of 291, only three-over par as a collective. Rensselaer is second with a score of 302, followed by Clarkson, Rochester (313), St. Lawrence (316), Hobart (317), and the US Merchant Marine Academy (391).

Leading the pack of 41 golfers is Skidmore's Garrett Colgan, who shot a one-under par 71 on day one. Teammate Zach Grossman is second with an even-par round of 72. Rochester's Tyler Scarborough and Rensselaer's Grant Rosener are tied for third with a one-over par 73, and there is a five-way tie for fifth place that includes Clarkson freshman Tyler Cline (Tuxedo, NY), who shot 74. Clarkson's Rob Wood () is alone in 10th place after shooting 75.

The Liberty League Championships conclude on Sunday, starting at 9:00 am.
