Lake Placid, NY – Junior Caroline Bonin of the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team concluded her season by taking 35th in the slalom at the USCSA Nationals on Thursday afternoon at Whiteface Mountain.
Bonin, who is competing as an individual at the USCSA Nationals after qualifying at the USCSA Eastern Regionals the last weekend of February, placed 35th among 110 skiers in the slalom, coming in 43rd during the first run (1:05.49) and then completing the 35th fastest time in her second trip in 56.78 seconds. Her total time of 2:02.27 was about 12 seconds outside of the top 10.
On Tuesday, Bonin ended up in 32nd place among the 110 participants in the giant slalom with a time of 2:27.55.
Last season, Bonin finished 47th among 102 skiers in the slalom at the USCSA Nationals, held at Mount Bachelor in Bend, Oregon.
