Biddeford, ME – Breanna Bedborough scored her second goal of the season as the SUNY Canton women's hockey team earned a 1-1 tie at the University of New England in a non-conference game on Saturday.
The Nor'easters (4-3-5) opened the scoring at 13:25 of the first period on Jessica Tolzman's sixth tally of the season. Bedborough notched the equalizer at 12:20 of the middle period on the power play off passes from Alexa Parigi and Sydney Jordan.
The Roos dominated play in the third period outshooting UNE, 12-5, but the teams skated to overtime.
Brooke Susac finished the game with 27 saves, including four in overtime. Annie Rademacher turned aside 31 shots for the hosts.
This closes out the 2017 portion of the schedule as the Roos return to action on January 6th when it takes on Manhattanville College at 4 p.m. in the WSYB/Catamount Radio Invitational.
