POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Oneonta (18-7, 13-5 SUNYAC) defeated the SUNY Potsdam women's basketball team (2-23, 0-18 SUNYAC) 82-48 on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore guard Drew Dufrane (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) led the Bears with a season-high 17 points. Junior guard Riley Luckie (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Ogdensburg Free Academy) put up six points and a season-high six assists. Freshman guard Mia Jackson (Bronx, N.Y./Mott Hall V) came off the bench and scored seven.
Potsdam started the game with a 6-0 run, however the Red Dragons countered with a 15-3 stretch over the rest of the quarter. Oneonta gained full control in the second quarter and never surrendered the lead for the rest of the game. Leanne Corso led all Red Dragons with 18 points and also grabbed eight rebounds. Madeline Frank and Teresa Anken scored 12 and 11, respectively. Anken also led the team with six assists. Both Samantha Lisikatos and Casey Hayes scored 10 points off the bench.
The contest marked the conclusion of the careers of senior forwards Emily Drake (Athens, N.Y./Coxsackie-Athens) and Keme Fofana (Bronx, N.Y./AECI Charter H.S.). Both players were honored before today's contest on Senior Day.
