CANTON, N.Y. --- The SUNY Potsdam men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Canton Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Clarkson University men's and women's teams placed first in their respective races. The shorthanded Bears competed as individuals.
Sophomore Joshua D'Angelo (Camden, N.Y./Camden) once again led the Bears men's team with a time of 30:11:78. Sophomore Matthew Brown (Chestertown, N.Y./North Warren) was next up as he finished with a time of 31:19:92. Junior Logan Drake (Theresa, N.Y./Indian River) ended the day for the Bears crossing the finishing line at 32:35:06.
Junior Maddie Schmauch (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Spackenkill) led the way for the women with a 28:38:21 finish. Sophomore Kristen Alvy (Commack, N.Y./Commack) crossed the line shortly after with a time of 28:55:35. Sophomore Alice Menis rounded out the women finishing 35:26:61.
The Bears will catch a breather until on October 27, where they will compete in the SUNYAC Championships at Fredonia.
