Sophomore Carter Armstrong posted his second EISA top-20 finish of the weekend and his sixth of the season to lead the St. Lawrence University Alpine Ski team on day two of the Williams College Carnival at Berkshire East in Hancock, Massachusetts on Saturday.
Armstrong completed the men's slalom with a final time of one minutes and 55.76 seconds, just 3.4 seconds out of the top spot, to finish 20th and earn 23 points for the Saints and 11 NCAA points. Armstrong currently has 114 NCAA points on the season, heading into the final weekend.
Mikayla Lathrop posted her second-best finish of the season. She completed the women's slalom in 2:16.78 to earn 15 points for the Saints and 34th place.
The men took home seventh place, while the women finished ninth in their respective slalom events. St. Lawrence finished the weekend in ninth place, while Dartmouth, UVM and Middlebury took home the top three spots.
The Saints will travel to the Skibowl in Middlebury, Vermont for the Middlebury College Carnival/ NCAA Eastern Regionals on February 23-24.
