MASSENA -- State troopers are seeking the public’s help in identifying an armed robber at The Corner Store, at the intersection of state routes 37 and 37C.

Investigators are asking anyone with knowledge of the suspect to come foward with information.

The robbery allegedly occurred in May 29, 2015

Troopers say they responded to a 9:30 p.m. report that an unidentified white male suspect entered the store and displayed what appeared to be a handgun, demanding money from the cashier. The cashier refused to give the suspect money and he fled from the store on foot, troopers said.

The male suspect is described as about 5'5” tall, weighing around 140 pounds, with a thin build. He was seen wearing a black Under Armour sweatshirt, a black ski mask, black pants, black sneakers and black gloves. The suspect was also observed to have acne or pockmark scarring under his eyes and was carrying a black Adidas bag, troopers said.

Agencies assisting state police at the scene included U.S. Border Patrol, St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Massena Police Department and state Park Police.

Troopers ask anyone with information on the robbery to call the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations in Massena at 379-0012.
