Potsdam police arrest Michigan woman for drunk driving charges

POTSDAM — Police here arrested a Michigan woman Jan. 27 at 2:56 a.m. on drunk driving charges.

Tiffany A. Brandreth, 33, of Taylor, Mich., was arrested by police for unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater .18 percent.

Police said Brandreth was observed by a patrol driving west on May Road and failing to keep right.

Brandreth was found not to have a valid driver’s license during the subsequent traffic stop. The patrolman then detected the odor of consumed alcohol coming from Brandreth. The Michigan failed field sobriety tests.

She was placed under arrest, said police, and brought to the Potsdam Police Department for processing. While at the station she was determined to have a blood alcohol content of .19 percent.

She is schedule to appear in town court March 7 at 10 a.m.
