MASSENA -- Village police say a Massena man is out on $25,000 bail, accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy.
James P. Francis, 59, of 42 Roosevelt St. is charged with first-degree criminal sexual act and first-degree sexual abuse, both felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
His alleged victim gave a statement to police and said Francis performed sex acts on him by forcible compulsion in July and twice in September.
Francis was arraigned by acting Massena Village Justice Gerald Sharlow and released after posting $25,000 bail, police said.
He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Sept. 30 at 1:30 p.m. in Massena court.
