PIERREPONT -- A Colton man was held on $5,000 cash bail after he allegedly left the scene of a property damage accident while driving drunk on State Highway 56.
Edward S. Thompson, 51, of Colton was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and failure to keep right, following an accident in Potsdam Friday at 2:35 a.m.
Canton-based state police said Thompson was transported to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail.
