LISBON -- A Lisbon man was charged with possessing over a pound of marijuana and was held without bail after St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies investigated an open burning complaint Sunday.
Deputies went to the scene with state DEC officers and discovered illegal drugs and numerous underage people at the address.
A search warrant was obtained from Canton Justice O’Horo and, executing it, officers found marijuana, scales, a spoon that tested positive for cocaine, smoking devices and a rifle.
Justin Overton, 35, 472 Murphy Rd., was charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class D felony, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a hypodermic instrument, endangering the welfare of a child. and open burning. He was arraigned before Morristown Justice Phillips and was sent to the county jail, held without bail.
