LISBON — An Ogdensburg resident was charged with drug possession Wednesday following a traffic stop on SH 68, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Ryan M. Finley, 30, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, deputies said.

Finely was passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for traffic violations, officers said.

Due to inconsistencies in stories from the vehicle’s occupants, K9 Fable was deployed on the exterior of the vehicle and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics, deputies said.

The vehicle was searched and Finley was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine, deputies said.

Finely was charged and released.
