PITCAIRN — A Harrisville man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a reported hit-and-run accident Wednesday night involving two vehicles, according to state police.
Thomas J. Rice, 20, was charged at 11:42 p.m. with first-offense DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident and failure to keep right.
The second vehicle was driven by Maxwell C. Jensen, 19, Harrisville. He was not charged.
The accident took place on State Highway 3, officers said. Rice was stopped and charged on State Highway 812.
No injuries were reported.
